    Anna

    Junior Suite

SUITE DEDICATED TO ANNA MARIA LUISA DE’ MEDICI

Anna’s life was full of disappointments. She was the last of the Medici family, so the Medici dynasty ended with her, after over 300 years. Anna gave the city of Florence what would become its future and its fortune, meaning all the assets that the Medici family had collected over the years, a priceless heritage that made her the most important woman in Florence. Thanks to her donation, Florence has become one of the most visited cities in the world.

When you enter this room, you can feel Anna Maria Luisa’s great passion for archaeology. When Anna went to Rome, she stayed in a house with a terrace that had a magnificent view of the Roman Forum.

On the entrance portal of the room there is the coat of arms of the House of Medici and that of her husband, Johann Wilhelm, Elector Palatine of the House of Zweibrücken.
